We see them every year. A few days ago I saw one and thought I would take a picture of him but I needed him in a different place so that I could photograph him more clearly. I decided to prod him with a long pod from a tree in the front yard. He did try to hold on to the pod but I was able to get his where I wanted him. When I looked Wheel Bugs up online later on I found out that they can fly and that they have a painful bite.
