An abandoned home somewhere on the backs roads of Kent County, Maryland ... seen last summer

We were traveling to Bethlehem, PA, in search of the now-derelict Bethlehem Steel Plant, when we passed this church and pulled in to walk through the cemetery in the back lot ....

I love how you picked up the pink hue of the shutters and reflected in the yard and among the leaves lining the fence. Beautiful. And that first one, it has this haunted feel to it, like it has some terrible memory it's holding. Love the colourizing of the house with the cow, wonderful results. Just love what you do with photos. Stay well and keep that camera handy!

Always love your pictures, they speak to my heart. I'm drawn to old building and things that speak of times past. Someday maybe I'll learn how to use some of the cool photo editing software that you use with such grace.

Three things...

1) Now that we have our high speed internet connection, I am happily clicking away to catch the details of your gorgeous photos! (Always wanted to do that, but it was hard enough to load a photo once, let alone load each one in a larger size!)

2) I love the way you capture the longing feeling of old houses. These photos remind me of the poem "The House With Nobody in It" by Joyce Kilmer. Have you read this poem?

3) Thank you for leaving such a sweet comment on my blog. You never have to apologize for not reading or commenting...really. But you are the sweetest commenter...

Beautiful homes and photos of them!

That first photo reminds me of the house they used in the old series of the Adams Family (I think that was the series?). My husband and I toured Universal Studios on part of our honeymoon trip and saw that in Hollywood on their LOT. A fun memory for us.

Thanks for sharing!

XOXO Gloria
