Like Birds Seeking Inlet

Barn swallows at Blackwater Wildlife Refuge ....

Gary and I went for a walk one day last week at Blackwater Refuge, taking advantage of the breezy, cooler Spring weather.   It was fun walking in a place where we could be outside but not have to worry about traffic.   And it didn't hurt that there were sweet things to photograph.   By the time we returned to our car, we had walked six and a half miles.    A far more lovely workout than walking at the local Mall.

"There are joys which long to be ours. God sends ten thousand truths, which come about us like birds seeking inlet; but we are shut up to them, and so they bring us nothing, but sit and sing awhile upon the roof, and then fly away."
~Henry Ward Beecher

Thank you so much for visiting ....
