Harper's Ferry -- Population 307

A few of the buildings in Harper's Ferry, West Virginia. Historically, Harper's Ferry is best known for John Brown's raid on the Armory in 1859 and its role in the American Civil War. As of the 2000 census, the town had a population of 307.     Read about this beautiful town here ....

I haven't commented on your photo sight very often, Frances, as my dial-up connection loads photos s-o s-l-o-w-l-y-. But this afternoon I am at the library where photos just pop up! And I am so much enjoying perusing through this new blog of yours. I love these Harper's Ferry pictures..and the ones of the dogs...and the barn (I agree that it could be a wonderful house!)...
